E-Commerce Readiness Assessment in Sarawak

This study explores the factors of e-commerce adoption among Sarawakians. One is level cybersecurity awareness. We aim to assess readiness for Sarawakians due lack conducted on subject. A research model based perceived risk (PR), usefulness (PU) and quality products (PQ), intention (I) services in Sarawak proposed. The validity proposed then tested using various tests such as item reliability, construct validity, convergent discriminant via SmartPLS software. Once has been determined, a structural equation used strength before test hypothesis can be done. effect size, f2, calculated by SmartPLS. index value each variable also plotted importance-performance matrix analysis (IPMA). Based survey data from 128 end users Sarawak, finds that PU most crucial factor adopting services, followed PQ. Surprisingly, PR does not play any role adopt services. results suggest several important key points follows: (i) Government its partners should focus educating people importance prevent cyber-related crimes occurring causing massive damage Sarawak’s attempt digitise economy; (ii)Sarawakians prefer functional services; (iii) maintained; (iv) developers their ensure service adopted Sarawak.
